Scattered Oreo cookies halted traffic Lenka Filipova
This Monday an Oreo cookies trailer crashed. It carried approximately 14 tones of double stuffed cookies. As the truck overturned, the cookies were spilled throughout the roadway and the median too. The most popular chocolate sandwich cremes were all over Interstate 80. It was reported that no serious loses are being signalized as the cookies remained in their original shape just due to its plastic covering. Oreo cookies are very popular in America and honestly, they have became the part of American culture similarly like Coca Cola or hot dogs. Oreo is the biggest cookie maker in America that holds sway on the market.According to the State Policeman of Illinois Sgt. Brian Mahoney, the tuck driver was on his way from Chicago to Morris. Unfortunately, he fall asleep at the wheel around 4 in the morning having no control over the trailer. Consequently, it clashed and the cargo turned up.Then he added that the boxes in which the cookies were packed had came out of the truck and thus they opened. However, the cookies themselves did not lose on their value.The crash is still under the investigation and the police shut down the highway and thus backed up traffic.Brian Mahoney told that till this time they have not filed any charges. And adding an essential information to drivers on the way to or form Chicago, he said that both lines would be closed until all cookies would be gathered up completely.
