Now you see the bridge, now you don't

Few things can actually surprise me nowadays, but this surely astonished me: a railway bridge theft. It is not that I don't see the purpose of the theft, but I can't see how you could get away without being noticed or what in the world you could use to steal such a big object. The theft of the century took place in the western Czech border town of Cheb. Police already launched an investigation into the theft of the four-tone railway bridge. Breaking statement of police spokeswoman Martina Hruskova to AFP revealed that they are not quite sure why it was stolen. I can tell them for sure that it was not stolen for sentimental value, not at that size. Judging after the size it would be easy to identify a more material purpose, one that will have a boosting reward- at £100 to £120 per tonne in scrap metal that would give them £400 to £480 which is quite a lot. If they charge the ones responsible for the misdemeanor, they should lock nature too for being an accomplice, after all she did flood the bridge first facilitating the robbery. If you were wondering who first notice the missing, you should probably know that the alarm was raised by the company charged with looking after the bridge, which was on a disused stretch of track near the town.
