Boycott Olympics
by Claudia Sonea

Kafka's novels are constantly getting shape in everyday life. The absurdity of things that happen around us can make one stare in awe and question whether it is real or just a fiction of the imagination. India is known for many things, but it isn't that popular at the Olympics, having only four individual medals since they participated for the first time to the Summer Games in 1928. However, instead of supporting those who are preparing to bring glory to their country, the government sniffs and makes them manage on their own. The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) secretary Baljit Singh Sethi revealed that for 23 years the government provided the ammunition, but that stopped 2 year ago, requesting on December 23 for the federation to import ammunition itself. Four years ago in Athens Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore won the gold medal and Sethi said that the marksmen have potential and might even me future champions if they would have the ammunition to train. They are thinking to boycott the Beijing Olympics for which archers, athletes, wrestlers, boxers and a swimmer have already qualified. NRAI stated that it is not only they don't know how it develops the process of importing ammunition, but also there is still a matter of low budget. What will happen with these people who would do anything to get on the first positions no one knows. It's a pity they were not supported in their efforts, but in a Kafkian world nothing has to be fair or understandable.
